We believe in the sanctity of the family and the value of
preserving and strengthening the integrity and unity of those
families impacted by special needs and circumstances.
When a family encounters such challenges as disability,
divorce, death, or other unanticipated developments, its
foundation and union are challenged often beyond the
strengths of its members.
It is the mission of “Focus on Families” to provide
counseling and mediation services, educational
opportunities, family-based activities (such as workshops,
therapeutic camps, retreats), and to identify, develop and
promote other efforts responsive to and supportive of
families with special needs.
We believe in the sanctity of the family
These special needs families include those with
disabled members, those in which the parents face
significant marital difficulties, those dealing with loss
and grief, those experiencing educational challenges,
those struggling with emotional, mental health, or
substance abuse issues, and those who find
themselves in circumstances which, faced unsupported,
would only deplete the solidness of the family’s identity
and unity. Focus on Families will vigorously pursue
opportunities to promote and enhance those services
being provided families in their educational, work,
spiritual and social communities.
